Permix Lotion is a topical, external-use-only medication that works by paralyzing and killing parasitic mites and lice, as well as their eggs. It is available in various forms, including lotion and cream, and is a widely used and generally effective treatment when used as directed by a healthcare professional.

The primary benefit of Permix Lotion is the effective treatment and elimination of parasitic skin conditions. 

  • Scabies Treatment:It kills the Sarcoptes scabiei mites that burrow into and irritate the skin, thus alleviating associated itching, swelling, and redness.
  • Head Lice Treatment:It destroys head lice and their eggs (nits), helping to clear the infestation.
  • Convenience:Often, only a single application is needed for complete treatment, though a second application may be required after 7 days in some cases. 

Ingredients of Permix Lotion:

The primary active ingredient is Permethrin. Specific product formulations may contain additional inactive ingredients, such as: 

  • Butylhydroxytoluene (E321)
  • Lanolin alcohols
  • Liquid paraffin mixture
  • Macrogol cetostearyl ether 

Usage of instruction of Permix Lotion:

  • Scabies: A condition where tiny mites infest and irritate the skin. The 5% concentration is typically used for this purpose.
  • Pediculosis (head lice and crab louse infections): The 1% concentration is used to treat head lice infections.
